David Goren has created programming for the BBC, Studio 360, NPR's Lost and Found Sound series, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Afropop, On the Media and many others as well as audio-based installations for Proteus Gowanus, the Ethnographic Terminalia Collective, Radio Cona, Montez Radio and Hackers on Planet Earth. David’s Brooklyn Pirate Radio Sound Map project has been featured in the New Yorker and is a partner archive of the Library of Congress’ Radio Preservation Task Force.

A Brooklyn based producer, writer, post production mixer and field recordist for over 30 years, David has recorded everyone from the Dalai Lama to the Dancing Chicken of Chinatown. He is also one half of the shortwave radio jam band, The Propagations with Ned Sublette.
